I pledge to continue to:

• Seek legislation that would close the gender pay gap.

• Support public education and oppose bills that threaten the viability of public schools.

• Work with state and local education officials to identify ways to improve failing schools.

• Support pay increases for educators to attract top-notch, dedicated teachers.

• Advocate for capital improvements at Bishop State Community College to replace obsolete facilities and instructional equipment, and enable the college to offer first-rate training in nursing and other programs.

• Support investment in programs that encourage entrepreneurship and small business development.

• Support programs and tax incentives for downtown redevelopment and neighborhood revitalization.

• Support better access to healthcare for families that cannot afford healthcare.

• Support increased funding for the court system so that cases can be processed more efficiently.

• Support rehabilitation programs for ex-offenders to reduce crime, recidivism and overcrowding in jails and prisons.

• Vote in favor of allowing voters to decide if Alabama should have a lottery.

• Support automatic voter registration.
